Lucie Dempsey

Teacher, parent, volunteer, philanthropist

St Louis MO | Board of Directors

Executive Committee | Design and Production

Lucie enjoyed a career in teaching elementary school and then dedicated her time to raising two children, with her husband David Dempsey in St. Louis. Lucie taught in the MRH school district during a time of positive transformations that rippled throughout the school and broader community. Lucie feels great pride as she looks back on the rebirth of that small community into a place people seek out to live and raise their children.

In 2005, she left teaching to raise her two children. During their elementary years, she served as the Rossman School Parents’ Club Vice President and President, as well as other leadership roles that focused on fund-raising and community building. In addition, she was her daughter’s Girl Scout Troop Leader and the school representative for the Girl Scout Association. For the last ten years, Lucie has worked part-time for her family’s dry-cleaning business that does both personal and commercial work. Lucie co-chaired the most successful fundraiser in El Salitre history in the fall of 2023.
