Kay’s accounting career has encompassed a variety of positions and duties over 30 years at corporations, government agencies, and school districts. She has progressive experience in all areas of accounting and has demonstrated both leadership and teamwork skills repeatedly throughout her career.

Kay retired as Chief Financial Officer from Maplewood Richmond Heights School District with four schools and a $20 million budget after 10 years. She taught graduate accounting courses at Lindenwood University as an adjunct staff instructor in the evenings and after retirement. She was also part owner for several years of a Hallmark gift shop.

Kay believes the education of girls and women is extremely important in advancing women in the workplace. Kay’s husband, Rick, was a regional manager for Sprint until he retired.
